Dementia Memory Care at Cambridge Resthaven

Cambridge Resthaven offers two specialised units - at Resthaven on Vogel and Resthaven on Burns.

The dementia memory care and support we provide is based on a variety of philosophies including Eden, Namaste Care™, V.I.P.S, a restorative model of care and normal life. Together with the latest interventions in dementia-specific care and clinical support, these shape the care and support we provide.

Resthaven on Vogel

At Resthaven on Vogel, the Memory Care Unit (Tui) caters for residents living with dementia. There are 10 single rooms available with either ensuite or shared facilities. There is a lovely large communal space and two peaceful outdoor areas. There are also smaller areas within Resthaven for use by families if they wish to spend quiet time with their family members.

And for those able to... there is the use of the gym and swimming pool in the Village Centre, and The Coffee Post café in the Hanlin Building.

Tui provides support and care for able-bodied ladies and gentlemen with 'gentle' dementia. To ensure their safety, the doors are secure with swipe card access.

Resthaven on Burns

Resthaven on Burns caters for 15 residents living with dementia. The Memory Care Unit is called quite simply ‘Home’ and has large, light rooms with extensive indoor communal areas and a sheltered landscaped garden, all in a secure environment.

Resthaven on Burns is large enough to offer plenty of variety and interest, but at the same time we have the family atmosphere of a smaller centre.
